Hand Printed Purses by ChiChiLand

Created in collaboration between ChiChiLand and Boejack Design, this collection of coin and pouch purses debuted at Seattle’s Urban Craft Upraising in Summer 2019.

Original fabric patterns were initially designed using traditional media: inks, brushes and calligraphy pens. The artwork was then digitally processed, refined, and finally hand-printed using silk screen printing on a selection of cotton and linen fabrics.

Produced as a limited, small batch run, the majority of these bags have already found their new owners. A small number still remain, so feel free to inquire below if you’d like to get one.

Also, don’t forget to check Behind the Scenes of this project for more photos of design and printing process.

The project was inspired by the movement of Slow Fashion – using locally sourced materials and hand-made process. Each of the pattern designs was a result of days of meditative experimentation and refinement – resulting is a small collection I am really proud of.

In addition to small and medium zipper pouches, we have also produced five varieties of small coin purses with kiss clasp lock.
